About Sthira

Sthira means stability.
Living in societies and communities that lack a safe and empowering environment can be hard. At Sthira, we believe that a stable, supportive and accepting space can lead to tremendous personal growth and development.
We aim to provide a safe ground for you to be yourself. We work with you to help you understand who you are and to make life choices that are true to you.
Along with personal development and therapy, Sthira is an awareness building and information sharing space. We use trauma informed, intersectional and neurodiverse sensitive lenses.

My Approach

As an eclectic practitioner I tailor my approach to best suit the needs of my clients. Person-centred therapy is my foundational approach which focuses on client’s experiences with empathy and non-judgment.I always bring trauma-informed, feminist- intersectional, non-pathologizing, neuro-diverse sensitive lenses into my practice.

What Can You Expect?

  • In the initial sessions, we focus on building rapport, setting goals, exploring problems and understanding your context.
  • The next phase will involve developing awareness about yourself and your issues, building strengths and finding resources to tackle your problems.
  • Later stages will include challenging your unhelpful patterns and behaviours, processing emotions and issues and taking actions.
  • In the last stage, we will gradually move to termination.

Note that this is just an outline. Each phase may not be linear and can look different for each client. Want to start therapy but don’t know how to start? Use this guide here.
